Iowa Association of Alternative Education Annual State Conference Recap
This was Centric Learning’s first time at the IAAE conference and it was amazing! Our Director of Curriculum, Maidie Baker, provided a presentation entitled “Pairing Competency-Based Education with Project-Based Learning: A Powerful Approach” and Director of Sales and Marketing, Jeremy Johnson, became an At-Large Board Member! We can’t wait until next year!

Meet the Centric Team
Emily Hamilton is the Project Administrator at Centric Learning. A psychology major at the University of Michigan, she came to Centric after a wide breadth of experience as a project administrator for startups, nonprofits, and education organizations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped the International Association for the Study of Pain organize the largest virtual event in their history, with 4,000 attendees joining to hear from experts on the latest research to help people manage pain. Her first degree in Education Administration exposed the gaps in mental health services available to not only school-aged children but to those who support them, and she is passionate about building a bridge to provide services to those most in need. Emily resides in Michigan with her husband Phillip, and enjoys listening to audiobooks, singing, and researching her next big idea.
